Michaels new kids program, The Knack, lets your kids explore their creativity through a wealth of great ideas, projects and crafts designed just for them. Join us for The Knack Saturdays, during which kids ages 5-12 will create their own fun craft. Only $5 per child, including supplies. The 30 minute sessions begin at 10, 10:30, 11 or 11:30 am.

Scripps Ranch Farmers Market is located 1/2 mile east of the I-15, at the Ellen Browning Elementary School Campus. The array of vendors is amazing, this is a great asset to the community...and the kettle corn is yummy too!
A percentage of sales benefits the Ellen Browning Scripps Elementary School. Shoppers are also able to buy one of the "Scripps Ranch Community Cookbooks" to help those who lost their homes during the devastating fires.
If you are gearing up to be a driver, you can take your classroom driver education and behind-the-wheel driver training through MiraCosta College's Community Service Program. Sign up for both programs at the same time and save $28 - the fee is just $356. Individually, driver education is $88 and behind-the-wheel is $285.
MiraCosta's classroom driver education uses certificated instructors who interact with students and use guest speakers and contemporary audio/visual aids. Classes meet on four Saturdays, November 1-December 6(no class on November 8 or 29).
MiraCosta College also offers driver education on the San Elijo Campus, 3333 Manchester Ave., Cardiff, CA 92007. The class is offered four Saturdays, November 1-December 6 (no class November 8 or 29), 8 am - 4pm in Room 401.

Old Poway Park is such a great family spot! It offers steam train railroad rides, every Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., children under 12 years are able to ride for only fifty cents...adults are charged between $1.50 and $2.50 depending on the ride.
A two-acre park and picnic area is also there...very near the Hamburger Factory Restaurant.
San Diego's largest weekly artisan market featuring handmade works from local artisans. The market includes such items as jewelry, photography, pottery, clothing, paintings, hand painted glass, glass blowing, woodworkings and more.

John D. and Adolph Spreckels donated the Spreckels Organ, one of the world’s largest outdoor pipe organs, to the City of San Diego in 1914 for the Panama-California Exposition. This unique organ contains 4,530 pipes ranging in length from the size of a pencil to 32 feet and is housed in an ornate vaulted structure with highly embellished gables. Since 1917, San Diego has had a civic organist, who performs free weekly Sunday concerts.
