Basic Training for Dads to Be

This class allows expectant dads the opportunity to hear first-hand accounts from experienced dads who have been through it all. Cost is $35.

Handling power struggles can be one of the most difficult aspects of parenting. Our speaker, Nonie Levi, MFT will discuss how to effectively handle power struggles and what to do to lessen them in the future by recognizing them and disengaging. Basic Training for New Dads

This two part parenting class is offered as a sequel to the Basic Training for Dads to Be class and addresses issues most relevant to fathers who have newborn to one-year-old babies. The cost for both classes is $70.
Parent’s Guide to Wills, Trusts, & Saving for College Education

What would happen to your children if something happened to you? Achieve peace of mind by ensuring that your child(ren) would be raised by the person you choose and that your child(ren) would not inherit everything at age 18, but at the ages and stages you want them to inherit. This two-hour seminar for boys (10-12 years old) and their parents(s) presents accurate information about the normal physical and emotional changes associated with puberty in preteen boys and a brief review of the basics of conception. Dr. Chrystal de Freitas will present this seminar which will be followed by a question/answer session. In addition, boys will receive some sample products to help with the transition into puberty. Enrollment is limited and preregistration is required. The fee is $30/person.

Gregory Ostrow, M.D., will discuss children’s eye problems including lazy eye, crossed eyes, blocked tear ducts. California-Hawaii Elks club is offering free vision screenings for children 3 to 10 years old. Scrapbook Marathon

Relax, get organized and arrange your photos so that years from now you can look back on them proudly with your child. Registration is limited to the first 80 registrants.
