No, I Won’t and You Can’t Make Me: Ways to Reduce Power Struggles

Handling power struggles can be one of the most difficult aspects of parenting.  Our speaker, Susie Walton, will discuss how to effectively handle power struggles and what to do to lessen them in the future by recognizing them and disengaging.  You and your child will feel better and the entire family will be happier for it.

Turn the Terrible Twos into the Terrific Twos

Welcome to the "Age of Independence" - a period of development that can be frustrating for everyone involved.  Our speaker Jackie Hartman, will discuss the emotional, mental and physical development of two-year old children, how these developments affect their behavior, and how to identify and handle trying situations in a positive manner.

Cost: This event is free for Parent Connection members, $10 for nonmembers.

Postpartum and Your Pelvic Floor: What Changes?

Date: October 28, 2015

Join a women's health physical therapist to learn how you can strengthen your pelvic floor muscles during the postpartum period.  Easy exercises will be demonstrated to help you improve your muscle strength and function.  This class is following the weekly Breastfeeding Support Group.  Come get support for your breastfeeding needs, then stay for the educational class on pelvic floor health.

Class are free to attend.  Registration is required.
