Calling all budding naturalists! Come enjoy an imaginative journey into nature through dynamic readings and visits to exhibitions. Nature & Me Storytime, now being offered in our brand-new, permanent exhibition Extraordinary Ideas, is held every second Thursday at 10:15 AM. Open to all ages with a parent or guardian (recommended for ages 1–5). Free with paid admission and always free for Museum members.

ASD Mornings at The Nat

ASD Mornings has been created to serve the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) community. Once-a-month the Museum opens one hour early (at 9 AM) for adults and children on the autism spectrum and their families, friends, and caregivers. 2018 Barrio Logan Grand Prix

Join in the thrill of fast-paced bicycle racing by pro racers and top-level amateurs, a community walk, a helmet giveaway and a fun children's cycling event. The Barrio Logan Grand Prix has become one of Southern California's largest cycling events.  It is a San Diego community event held in conjunction with the Logan Heights Family Health Center Health Fair.

12th Annual Cinco de Mayo Trail Run

Please join us for the 12th Annual Cinco de Mayo Trail Run at Lake Poway on May 5th 2018! The Cinco de Mayo Trail Run is a unique course that offers something for runners at every level. Considered one of the most grueling runs in San Diego County, the quad-burning 10K is popular with elite runners and triathletes. The family-friendly 5K remains a favorite for those who are up for a nature hike. And the non-competitive 1/3-mile Kids Race is fun for little ones who are excited about spending a day at the lake. There’s even a special Heroes Heat to honor active-duty firefighters, law enforcement personnel and members of the military. Other highlights include professional chip timing, more than $1,500 in cash awards, entertainment and exhibits. Ticket prices are: Adults: $45; Ages 8-17: $30; Ages 10 and under: $10. EastLake Education Foundation - 24th Annual EastLake Cycle & 5K Run

Birch Aquarium 2018 Green Flash Lineup

The quintessential Southern California summer concert series includes Wild Child, The FIXX, Steve Poltz, Pine Mountain Logs with Venice and more.

Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego transforms its Tide Pool Plaza into an outdoor music venue unlike any other for The Green Flash Concert Series. These lively summer concerts, presented in partnership with 101. 5 KGB and Belly Up Entertainment, provide the ultimate Southern California music experience while supporting a good cause.

Named for the rare optical phenomenon caused by the refraction of light as the sun sets on the horizon — which is often visible during the concerts — the Green Flash concert series combines live music with panoramic ocean views, stunning sunsets and admission to Birch Aquarium.

Season passes are also available for $145 for members, $160 for the general public. For the best view in the house, upstairs VIP Deck tickets are also available for $150 per person per show and include catered food and beverage. Admission includes the concert as well as entrance to all aquarium exhibits and free parking.

Santee Street Fair

Join more than 30,000 visitors for the 10th Annual Santee Street Fair and Craft Beer Festival featuring live music and entertainment, more than 300 food and craft vendor booths, carnival rides and more! 2018 Ocean Beach Street Fair and Chili Cook-Off Festival

Join more than 70,000 visitors for an oceanfront chili cook-off, five stages of continuous live music and entertainment, the community mural project, Artists Alley, carnival rides and games, food and vendor booths, a beachside beer garden and more. Th eone-of-a-kind Hodad's Burger-Eating Competition will offer contestants a chance to be featured on the Hodad's Wall of Fame in Ocean Beach.

Tenth Annual Phil's Big BBQ at the Ballpark
