Disneyland Resort During The Holidays

I grew up in Southern California so Disneyland wasn’t a resort yet but just an amusement park that we would go to once a year.  Over the years, and after I had my family, we would spend our vacation at the Disneyland Hotel.  Our week was going to just one park each day and playing in the pool in the afternoons.  Now, the Disney Resort consists of Disneyland, California Adventure and Downtown Disney.  An experience that’s hard to visit in one day but we tried at our recent visit.

Each time I go after all these years, I find something that I haven’t done before.  This time it was going down the rapids in Grizzly River Run with minimal wetness thanks to the advise of another visitor. (Hint:  Sit in the middle seats).  I also tried the the Clam Chowder Bowl near Pirates of the Carribean. CarslandHoliday

Cars Ride is still popular and you must get your Fast Pass early in the day or they run out.  Even getting our Fast Pass at 10am, we had a return time of 8:45pm.  That still gave us enough time to run over to Disneyland to view the fire works.

It’s A Small World is something that you never get tired of especially singing holiday carols and the holidays decorations around the world.  Our highlight was when we were coming out of the tunnel, the lights lit up the attraction so there were a lot of ooh’s and awe’s.  Simply fabulous.night, it's a small world, lights, Holiday, DisneyHolidays, holidays, it's a small world Holiday, clock, facade

Disney does it right with the fireworks.  The show is spectacular, the music beautiful and the wonderful touch of ending the show with snow falling.

Thanks Disney for doing it right during the holidays! #DisneyHolidays
