Putting the “Connection” in Parent Connection

You all know that The Parent Connection is a non-profit parenting support network, but it’s the day-to-day stories that really show what we’re all about, like this one from San Diego mom, Cathie.

“When I first had my baby girl Devon, I was the only one in my group of close friends with a baby and who was a stay-at-home mom. I was lonely, completely isolated and cut off from everything I’d ever known. I could no longer relate to my single and childless friends who could party ‘til dawn. And I was BORED!

Along came The Parent Connection, and suddenly I had new friends, women who understood what I was going through and actually cared what stage my daughter was at in development. Also, The Parent Connection gave me a creative outlet to help with the boredom. TPC saved my life. Without it, I would not be the same person I am today. TPC also was my first foray into volunteerism and I am forever grateful for that.”
