Parent Connection Members can order a produce box and yummy extras like fish, poultry, jams, bread and more from Specialty Produce.
You can order week by week (order by Sunday to pick up the following Thursday). It’s $20 for a farmer’s market bag, $15 for a juicer’s bag and you can add on other fresh local items if you want to (fish, pasta, cheese, bread, honey etc.) It’s all very very fresh and from local farms. A great way to eat healthy and local for a reasonable price.
Pick up your produce box on Thursdays at three different locations:
Scripps Mende Well Being-UTC from 9:15-Noon. Very centrally located in University City at the Westfield UTC Mall. (Group code “SCRIPPSUTC”).
Sorrento Valley Pick up location is at Private Asset Management in Sorrento Valley, 5348 Carroll Canyon Rd. Ste. 200. Pick up is on Thursdays from 12p-2p. Contact is Suzi at suzi@jetsetsuzi.com. (Group Code “SCRIPPS4”).
North County pick up location is on Rios Road, major cross streets are Rancho Bernardo Road and Pomerado Road. Email PC member Wendy at wendyhovland@aol.com and let her know that you would like to join. (Group Code “SCRIPPS2”).
This is how it works: sign up at http://www.specialtyproduce.com/user/register.php and use group code “SCRIPPSUTC” for UTC orders and group code “SCRIPPS2” for Camino del Sur orders and “SCRIPPS4” for Sorrento Valley orders.
Orders must be placed online by the Sunday before pick up.
